I closed my eyes so my mind’s eye could assume
The duties of my eye.
One would have thought that my sight would be blur but it was as clear as an innocent conscience.
I wanted to smile but my lips were busy;
Pronouncing his name and articulating his qualities.
With his crown and cloth, I knew I was at the right place
I touched my crown to be sure I was a complement and not a sucker.
In my mind’s eye, I saw our hands together and our hearts in harmony as our thoughts mate and gathered into a round ball
I saw another owner.
Oh, what do I do?
I begged her not to interfere but her lips never parted.
That was when I opened my eyes and I realised I was only at my imaginary destination.
